Nevada Online Poker Applications List Hits 32

The list of companies having applied to do online poker business in Nevada’s newly regulated environment has reached 32 with the confirmed application of Canada’s NRT Technology Corp. as a service provider. 376o12

The Toronto-based NRT Tech operates a branch location in Las Vegas and is a major manufacturer of ATM kiosks and related payment-processing equipment. If approved, NRT is expected to provide similar processing services for Nevada’s new online sector.

NRT’s application means the Nevada Gaming Commission has received the following applications to date, by category:

11 Operators
17 Manufacturers
24 Service Providers

Several entities have applied in more than one category, ing for the overage, such as South Point Poker, which expected to be the first to have virtual real-money cards in the air.

Three of the 32 corporate entities have also applied in a fourth category, Manufacturer of Associated Equipment. Those three are Aristocrat Technologies, WMS Industries, Inc. and SG Gaming Inc.

Aristocrat and Scientific Games, a noted maker of lottery-ticket kiosks.

Shuffle Master have already received interactive gaming licenses and expect to provide online poker services to brick-and-mortar casinos currently in the application process.
