888poker has quietly announced that it is now beta testing able client software for the Apple Mac, and players are invited to give it a try. 5p6i19
Until now Mac s have only had access to an “instant play” browser version, that does not save hand histories on the player’s computer. The new version offers a native experience, giving players access to all of 888poker’s software features.
The 888poker rep revealed that the project was in the pipeline back in April, and has now invited s via its 2+2 thread to test the new software.
The existence of the Mac software by 888’s software development arm Cassava Enterprises has been known for a while: It was the client accidentally revealed on Caesars Interactive Entertainment’s WSOP.com which allowed players in Nevada to briefly deposit and play for real money.
888 will many other top-ranking networks that now offer Mac clients. nearly ready to release an all-new client rewritten in Apple’s native Cocoa API.
Other options available for Mac s include Full Tilt, which launched a beta version way back in 2005—it could be said that 888poker is a little late to the party.
